The Upper Wharfedale Primary Federation

Our federation comprises of four small, rural primary schools - Burnsall, Cracoe & Rylstone, Grassington and Kettlewell - in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, not far from the market town of Skipton

Be the light

Our vision is to help each child flourish into a caring, confident and resilient young person who has a love of learning.

We do this through our shared values: love, kindness, forgiveness, thankfulness and trust. We uphold high aspirations for all our children, through our innovative and inspiring approach to teaching and learning.

Discover, explore and create... little people have big adventures at our pre-school

The schools within our federation have a long history of providing education in the communities in which they reside.

Each has its own unique identity.

Now operating together as one organisation, with one Governing Board and Leadership Team, we are best placed to offer our children the highest possible standard of 21st Century teaching and learning.

Our federation prides itself on providing a nurturing, holistic and family environment within which children flourish.

We seek to stimulate the love of learning in our children so that they want to learn for themselves and achieve to the very best of their abilities.   Every child is valued as an individual and everyone has a part to play.

If you are looking for a school that offers something beyond the norm, a place where your child will treasure, then you have arrived. Each of our school offers the privileges of small class sizes and as a federation every pupil benefits from specialist teachers, joint learning sessions with wider groups of pupils and learning opportunities beyond the prescribed national curriculum.

We are proud of our group of schools and we hope you can see why.
